Nestled in Vancouver’s historic Shaughnessy neighborhood, this townhouse underwent a dramatic transformation, reflecting the homeowners’ shift from a larger, traditional space to a more intimate, modern footprint. This complete renovation brought a sense of openness to the home, blending sleek European influences with bursts of personality. With a focus on pops of vibrant colors and reflective surfaces, the design makes the most of natural light to combat the often-grey Vancouver days, creating a welcoming sanctuary full of energy and warmth.
When entering, the contrast between the original home and its renewed interior is striking—especially the carefully curated hits of bold color like the patterned stripes on the stairs and wine inspired counter stools. By opening up the layout, we maximized functionality within the townhouse’s smaller footprint, enhancing flow and sightlines while honoring the homeowners’ love of color. Reflective millwork was introduced to amplify light, and strategically placed open shelving displays sentimental pieces, adding a personal touch to every room.
